Direct Procurement

The Coffeeshop Company deliberately decided not to use certified coffees for marketing, mostly buying directly from the producers in the small speciality segment with no middle-men and completely detached from stock exchange speculation. This means higher coffee prices than those on the world market are automatically paid not only directly to the farmers, but also directly after harvesting, long before it arrives at our roastery, as good cooperation and close contact to the farmers are extremely important for direct procurement in the specialities segment.

Mutual understanding, trust, and a passion for coffee are also essential to ensure the highest coffee quality; the Coffeeshop Company cooperates with all those farms who share our philosophy of sustainable cultivation and coffee quality as well as our values for economic, social, human and ecological well-being. Of course this also includes farms that actually do have certificates, because at the Coffeeshop Company, no farmer is excluded. Every coffee farmer thus has a fair chance to work with us and get the best prices for their quality coffee.

"In all our actions, the people and the quality of our products stand above all else." All our efforts and coffee trading are based on this principle, and it is simultaneously a promise we give to our partners, employees and customers. Although we focus on highest quality coffee from 100% high-grown Arabica beans, and not all farms meet these quality requirements, we also provide the possibility of future cooperation for these mostly small farms through free, project-related training programmes to help them improve the quality of their coffee.
