1999
The opening the first Schärf Coffeeshop in Vienna is a distinctive moment for
the Schärf Group of Companies. Due to the early market entry, it was necessary
to establish a strong foundation for the young subsidiary company. However, the
perfectly elaborated concept makes a huge go of the Coffeeshop Company, from
the bottom up. This success continues in further openings of Schärf Coffeeshops
in Vienna and eventually, in whole Austria.
2000
The Coffeeshop Company wins the US-American route "Carnival Cruise Line" over, as
cooperation partner. Ever since, unique Coffeeshop-Company-Corners can be found
on their cruise liners. Hence, the Coffeeshop Company spreads its modern and
hip concept around the world.
2001
The Coffeeshop Company becomes an individual enterprise within the Schärf Group
of Companies. The first mobile coffeeshop is put into operation for the
servicing of events. The first franchise holder closes contracts with the
Coffeeshop Company.
2002
The number of shops of the Coffeeshop Company rises to six shops in Germany and
Austria. And the expansion keeps proceeding rapidly. A second mobile coffeeshop
is put into operation and already eleven cruiser lines have established a
Schärf-Coffeeshop-Corner.
2003
The Expansion is unstoppable: Further 17 shops of the Coffeeshop Company have
been commissioned in Austria and Germany. The magazine "Der Konsument" awards
the Coffeeshop Company best in test among all competing Coffeeshop-vendors, for
its inimitability and spritely modern realization of the Coffeeshop Company
concept.
2004
The "Lounge-Concept" debuts for Schärf Coffeeshops with service, and enjoys
great popularity among customers as well as entrepreneurs. The rapid
development keeps growing with the ongoing openings of new Coffeeshop Company
shops. Once again, the Coffeeshop Company recognizes the symbol of the era. Since
2004, further expansion has been driven, specifically in the new member states
of the European Union as well as in Arabian markets. This step has not only
helped the company to further development, but can also be seen as booster for
European integration. Immediately, the Coffeeshop Company realizes the great
opportunities in the new member states.
2005
The Schärf group of companies experiences a sudden jolt, when the brand-new
headquarters, "Schärf World - The Art for Coffee", opens its gates. With it, a
modern, interactive and juvenescent center of representation and the new
"Think-Tank" of the company have been developed. As a crowning side-effect, the
Coffeeshop Company community now covers 84 shops.
2006
A "Master-Contract" is closed: It ensures the Coffeeshop Company the evolvement
of 150 further shops within the next ten years. First shops are opening in
Istanbul. 100 locations are held across the board so far, mainly in Austria,
Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary.
2007
Alongside the new lifestyle product, coffee, the Coffeeshop Company now also
offers its own-brand tea concept, namely the "Art for Tea". This marks an
incredible improvement for the juvenescent, ambitious Coffeeshop Company. Art
for Tea impresses through the unconventional combination of art and natural
ingredients. Perfect taste is guaranteed.
2008
The Coffeeshop Company has grown up to approximately 180 shops in 14 countries,
including Austria, Germany, Turkey, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic and
Russia. He, who thinks that the end of development has been reached, is highly
